Marc D. Cumsky

Marc is a partner in the firm, practicing primarily in the areas of real estate law, affordable housing development, and related disciplines (i.e., housing, land use, condominiums, corporations, partnerships, etc.).  He has extensive experience in all facets of commercial lending, real estate development, and multifamily housing. 

 

Marc has been practicing law in the Boston area since 1977.  Marc began his practice as an associate with the Boston law firm of Fine & Ambrogne, where his focus was on commercial real estate transactions.  He left Fine & Ambrogne in 1982 and for the next eleven years (1982-1993) he practiced with the Boston firm of Brown Rudnick Freed & Gesmer, the last seven years as an equity partner.  Marc has had his own firm since 1993.

 

Marc’s educational background includes a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Michigan Law School in 1976, an M.A. from the University of Michigan in 1974 (in American Studies), and a B.A. from the New School for Social Research in 1971.  Marc is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar (1977) and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Massachusetts (1977).  Marc is married to Linda Whitlock, former President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, and they have two children.
